What a beautiful way to start our summer whale-watching season. Our first public trip was sensational with 2+ humpback whales, 2,500 common dolphins, and 3 molas.
We ventured out of the harbor to find sunny skies and nice sea conditions. We started to pick up scattered common dolphins until we ran into 2 huge mola molas sunning themselves at the surface. Continuing west, a huge feeding frenzy held all of the action. Thousands of dolphins, our last mola, and a beautiful pair of humpback whales hung out with us in the sunny Santa Barbara Channel. We're thankful for our guests, crew, and the start of our public whale-watching trips!
Until Next time,
The SBWW Crew
