An incredible day at sea, June started off with an absolute bang!
We found ourselves surrounded by whales. It was hard to keep track of how many we watched as we meandered from group to group. 2 there, 5 there, 4 here, humpback whales were as far as the eye could see. A few highlights included an adult flying out of the water only 200 feet from our vessel (pictured below), and a few adults who enjoyed some kelping.
We also found 3+ blue whales as they traversed the channel looking for krill. 2 of which put up their mighty tails, while the last one was a small juvenile. It is always an incredible day when spent in the presence of these blue giants.
The weather tomorrow has us down for the day, but ALL of next week looks gorgeous. We hope to see you then!
